Bunkamura Production 2026 Musical 'The Lion - THE LION-BEAT'
A musical revival of a rarely staged 1965 script by Shuji Terayama, put on to mark the 90th anniversary of his birth and directed by Kunio Sugihara. It follows an ordinary young man who trades his ability to speak for boxing talent through a mysterious contract and becomes a silent champion, while facing fame, lost relationships and existential choices. Music is by Taku Takahashi of m-flo, and the cast is led by Yasusuke Niihara with Kana Kita.
