At Fuchu City Local Forest Museum, known for beautiful blooms year-round, the red spider lilies (higanbana) reach their peak from mid to late September. Thanks to years of dedicated planting by the museum staff, the number of lilies has increased from 10,000 to around 400,000. Enjoy this breathtaking crimson scenery unique to September. A Red Spider Lily Festival is also held from September 19 to October 4, with no closure during the event period.
