This special exhibition celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Yamatane Museum of Art, focusing on the celebrated Japanese painter Tokyu Okumura, who had a close relationship with the museum. Approximately 60 of his representative works from the museum’s collection will be displayed, spanning from his early period to his later years. Highlights include famous pieces such as 'Naruto' and 'Daigo', important works shown at major art exhibitions, and charming paintings of animals and flowers. The exhibition also features related materials, such as illustrated letters Okumura sent to the museum’s founder. (All works mentioned are in the Yamatane Museum of Art collection.)
