Rising star conductor Lio Kuokman, known for guest appearances with major Japanese and international orchestras, makes his first appearance at this subscription concert. He will be joined by renowned Japanese pianist Kazune Shimizu. The program features Respighi’s Suite ‘The Birds’, Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor, the Intermezzo from Act 3 of Puccini’s ‘Manon Lescaut’, and Respighi’s symphonic poem ‘Pines of Rome’. Lio Kuokman conducts; Kazune Shimizu on piano.
