To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Joshibi Art Museum presents 'Textile Collection Exhibition Part 14: Sarasa Patterns from Around the World.' This special exhibition focuses on 'sarasa'—textiles that originated in India and spread across the globe—and showcases their rich history for the first time in this series. Around 45 items are on display, including centuries-old fragments excavated from Egyptian ruins, large bedspreads made for the European market, and traditional Japanese sarasa pattern albums featuring small fabric pieces cherished since the Edo period.
