The Drone License Center (Drone Safety License School Chiba Nagareyama, certified by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism) is now accepting applications for both beginner and experienced Level 2 drone license courses. Applications for the November session are open. How to Apply: 1. Please apply using the link provided. 2. Pricing: Basic courses are available; additional applications are required for courses such as non-line-of-sight or night flights. Any special license extensions should be requested at least 10 business days in advance of your preferred date. Applicants can obtain a Level 1 or Level 2 drone pilot certificate. Passing the qualifying exam after taking this course exempts you from the practical test conducted by the designated testing institution, as per aviation regulations. Flexible scheduling is available for both beginners and experienced participants seeking exemption from practical exams. Two ways to obtain your drone license: 1. Take the exam directly at a designated testing center. 2. Complete a course at the Drone License Center (certified training institution), which grants an exemption from the practical test. Eligibility: - Must have obtained an applicant number for skill certification. - Must be at least 16 years old (enrollment possible 1 month prior to 16th birthday; must be 16 at the end of the course). - Must provide one of the following as proof of health: a valid driver's license (ordinary or higher), a physician's certificate (within 6 months), or drone skill certification. - Must meet the standards for passing the medical check. Certain conditions and disqualifying factors for skill certification apply. Details available upon request. Course completion assessment is available monthly according to your preferred schedule. Assessment may take place on a separate day from practical training. Fees cover required hours; any extra lessons or retakes are not included. Textbook fees are included; bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the applicant. Course fees may change according to ministry filings. Applicants who do not have a skill certification applicant number must obtain this 10-digit number through DIPS (Drone Information Platform System) managed by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. Online learning for the written section begins upon application. The practical assessment (about 1 hour) is scheduled on the day, the next day, or another day as appropriate.
