The 'Josuiki,' a historical document chronicling Edo-period waterworks and designated a Tangible Cultural Property by Tokyo, is displayed to the public once a year for a limited time. This year's exhibition highlights the connections between successive Tokugawa shoguns—including Ienari, the 11th shogun—and the Edo water supply. Concurrently, the Waterworks History Exhibition 'A Century of Kanamachi Water Purification Plant—Looking Back Through Archival Photographs' reflects on the plant’s 100-year history since the start of water distribution, using photographs and publications.
