Natsume Soseki first set foot in Kumamoto as a teacher on April 13, 1896. During his 4 years and 3 months there before studying in England, he experienced seven relocations and his honeymoon, which later inspired his novels 'Kusamakura' and '210th Day.' This exhibition explores the haiku he composed during his Kumamoto era, capturing the scenery and sentiments of that time. Visitors can follow Soseki’s footsteps, learn about his travels, encounters, and episodes from his Kumamoto life.
