Many women once traveled to the continent, hoping for a new life—either as 'brides of the continent' aiming to become wives of frontier settlers or as 'military nurses' tasked with saving wounded soldiers. However, their fate changed drastically after the defeat, leading to stay in foreign lands due to Soviet detention, Chinese internment, and refugee life in camps. This exhibition explores the difficult journey back home and what happened afterward.
