10th Anniversary Exhibition: Hokusai & Hiroshige - The Two Fuji Mountains
Tuesday, June 23, 2026
This exhibition highlights the differences and魅力 of ukiyo-e master Katsushika Hokusai and Utagawa Hiroshige, both famous for their depictions of Mount Fuji. Visitors can compare Hokusai's bold and dynamic compositions with Hiroshige's delicate portrayals of travel and seasonal scenes. The exhibit features all 36 views from Hokusai's "Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji," which will be displayed in their entirety for the first time in four years with changing displays for the pre- and post-exhibition periods. Works by Hiroshige, including "Fujisanzan" and "Fujisanzuke," also showcase the mountain embedded in everyday life and travel scenes, offering a unique glimpse into their worlds.
