New Year's Visit to Kanpukuji Temple

Recognized alongside Kawasaki and Nishiarai as one of the three major temples in the Kanto region for protection from misfortune, Kanpukuji is a historic temple in Hokuso. Its stunning seasonal scenery—cherry blossoms in spring, lush greenery in summer, and vibrant autumn leaves—makes it a beloved hidden spot in Sawara. On New Year's Eve, the first 108 visitors have the opportunity to ring the temple bell.
