Baisoin Temple offers lectures for parishioners and the general public. Professor Shokan Agawa's series 'Reading the Amitabha Sutra' consists of three sessions. While the previous term focused on reading the Amitabha Sutra, this term introduces the dramatic life of its translator—Kumarajiva, a towering figure in Chinese Buddhist history and translator of texts such as the Lotus Sutra and Vimalakirti Sutra.
