DESCRIPTION:Copycenter Gallery presents an exhibition and performance project by Yuki Shibata. Shibata creates works using clothing and the space surrounding the wearer as a medium\, with the act of wearing itself becoming part of the artistic experience. For this exhibition\, the artist presents seven new works that focus on the relationship between clothing and the body.\nShibata describes wearing clothes as a process of “bringing down and holding the wearer’s life capacity.” The exhibition explores how the abilities we practice in everyday life can be made present and retained within a space.
