A traditional year-end market dating back to the Meiji era. This market, held at the end of the year, sells New Year's decorations and supplies, focusing on bamboo rakes, good-luck charms, and household Shinto altars, along with food stalls set up in the precincts of Tsukushi Shrine and along the old Nakasendo Road. On the day, mini bamboo rakes called 'kakkome' are given out at the shrine's reception to bring in good fortune for the coming year. Note: Traffic restrictions will be in place around the venue.
