Set in Ikebukuro, Toshima—home to the preserved former residence of renowned mystery writer Edogawa Rampo—this event offers a variety of mystery-themed activities across the neighborhood. The 2026 festival focuses on Rampo’s role as a collector, with the theme of 'collection.' Programs include a book discussion battle highlighting mystery novels, a citywide mystery-solving walk, an interactive screening with a dramatic reading from Rampo’s 'Black Lizard,' and a rooftop library for reading under the open sky. Attendees can enjoy mysteries by both reading and actively solving puzzles throughout the city.
