DESCRIPTION:This course aims to provide a systematic understanding of Buddhist thought\, focusing especially on Yogacara philosophy\, which forms the foundation of Japanese Mahayana Buddhism. Participants will explore key topics such as the nature of reality\, the structure of suffering and delusion\, dependent origination\, the existence of Buddhas\, and the aspirations and practices of followers. The course uses 'An Introduction to Mahayana Buddhism' as its textbook and combines lectures with participant discussions to clarify Buddhist views on human nature and the significance of religious practice.
