DESCRIPTION:Murayama Kinsen (1885–1967)\, a sculptor from Maebashi who lived from the Meiji to the Showa era\, moved to Tokyo in 1900 and apprenticed under ivory sculptor Kaneda Kanejiro. He gained recognition for his ivory carvings exhibited at the Japan Art Association and Tokyo Sculpture Society\, earning several awards.
