Explore the history of Akita's development under the Satake clan, former lords of the Akita Domain, through historical maps, illustrations of castles, and diagrams depicting gold and silver mines owned by the family. Highlights include an artwork showing the Satake procession to Edo, featuring a dog—believed to have belonged to the clan—riding in a palanquin during the feudal lords’ mandatory journeys.
