Cats are one of the animals closest to humans. This exhibition explores the relationship between Fuku Akino, a master of Japanese painting, and cats, and introduces the diversity and appeal of feline depictions in modern and contemporary Japanese art. Featured works by around 40 artists in a variety of styles capture the free-spirited, humorous, and sometimes sharp essence of cats, reflecting the ever-evolving bond between humans and their feline companions. Experience the richness of this unique relationship through a wide range of cat-themed art.
