Beyond the glass barrier lies a garden quietly filled with light. I have long been fascinated by the world of 'cabinet of curiosities,' where fragments of the strange and wondrous were once collected and arranged in order. Minerals, crystallized over vast spans of time deep within the earth, are like poems in pure form left behind by the great system of our planet. Each time I encounter their precise geometry and subtle glow, I feel an innocent longing for the natural sciences and a sense of return to the origins of the world. (Artist's statement)
