Join our free, in-person introductory course to Python, one of the world's most popular programming languages. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create simple games while learning Python’s core concepts like conditionals, functions, lists, dictionaries, classes, and loops—using materials from the Tech Gym Python Fundamentals course.

Now in its 8th year and held weekly, this course has already welcomed over 20,000 participants nationwide. It is perfect for absolute beginners; no prior programming experience is required. Held in Nagatacho, the class offers personalized face-to-face support not available online. All ages and backgrounds are welcome—just bring your own laptop (Gmail required).

After the workshop, you’re free to continue practicing and make use of the self-study space alongside Tech Gym members. Feel free to come and go anytime during the session.

In today’s era of AI agents, understanding the basics of Python is a vital skill that will set you apart. While AI can generate code on request, being able to understand and adjust that code yourself is becoming increasingly important. This course emphasizes learning by doing—primarily through building games such as Rock-Paper-Scissors, spot-the-difference, baseball simulation, and casino games.

Participants praise the supportive environment that encourages questions, the practical nature of the content, and the engaging atmosphere. Many comment that they gained not only technical skills, but important perspectives on the industry and a boost to their confidence for future learning. If you’re looking for an effective, practical way to start programming, this free course is a great place to begin.
