This exhibition showcases 39 works by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, a leading artist of the French Impressionist movement, from collections across Japan. Alongside Renoir's pieces, about 80 works will be displayed in total, including paintings by Japanese modern artists such as Ryuzaburo Umehara and Shintaro Yamashita, who admired Renoir, as well as major French artists like Monet and Cézanne. The exhibition also features magazines, commercial advertisements, and calendars, exploring the history of Renoir's influence and reception in Japan.
