Held at the plaza in front of Oarai Marine Tower, this annual autumn event features local gourmet food, specialty product sales, and stage performances. On the first day, the Commerce Appreciation Festival includes displays of work vehicles, a performance by the Oarai High School Marching Band, and live shows by impressionist talent Kikuko Hariya and comedian Hanawa. The second day, the Oarai Monkfish Festival, offers monkfish soup made with Oarai's local catch and a special talk show with voice actors from the anime 'Girls & Panzer,' which is set in Oarai, along with other unique activities celebrating the town.
