The Nishishio-ko Revolving Stage in Hitachiomiya City is the oldest surviving assembled rural stage on record. Use of the stage ceased once in the Showa era, but it was revived in 1997 after nearly fifty years. This exhibition traces the revival and ongoing tradition of the Nishishio-ko Revolving Stage through fine art photographs and actual stage equipment and materials.
