Our planet Earth is home to many plants and animals, but do extraterrestrial lifeforms exist somewhere in the vast universe? If they do, can we meet them? This lecture explores the search for extraterrestrial intelligent life, from stories to real-world science, and includes a programming simulation to see if encountering such beings is possible.
