Held once every four years across Yamanashi Prefecture, this large-scale, roaming arts festival features a wide range of contemporary art and other creative expressions set against the backdrop of Yamanashi’s history, culture, traditional crafts, and natural environment. The 2026 theme is 'Living.' Venues are located in cities and towns throughout the prefecture, including Kofu, Hokuto, Ichikawamisato, and Fujikawaguchiko, each offering unique exhibitions that highlight local characteristics. During the festival, special events such as tea ceremonies and performances of taiko drumming and calligraphy will take place at tea rooms, museums, temples, and theaters.
