An opera lead must always have an undeniable star quality, and Airisu Sunada has rapidly grown into exactly that. Her smooth and beautiful voice stood out when she won third place at the 2023 Japan Music Competition, and after winning first prize the following year, she displayed a brilliant blend of vocal beauty and technique, maintaining richness even at the softest volumes. Through works by Bellini and Donizetti featured in this recital, she truly shines as one of the most promising talents in the opera world.
