DESCRIPTION:The Tokyo Otsuka Awa Odori started in 1971\, led by the Minami-Otsuka shopping street. Over 1\,000 dancers\, including the newly formed Shin Suiren Awa Odori group from Minami-Otsuka\, perform traditional Awa Odori dance. The eve of the festival features a dance performance by local groups and music from elementary schools and community organizations. The main event begins with a lively demonstration by Shin Suiren\, followed by a parade where each dance team performs along Minami-Otsuka Street. Throughout the festival\, food stalls line the streets\, allowing visitors to enjoy festival treats while watching the dancing.
