SUMMARY:Countless Acts of Compassion No. 3: The Wise Ones II
DESCRIPTION:War\, worsening climate conditions on Earth\, ever-larger natural disasters—questions about our troubled world are always on my mind. Since the aftermath of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake\, I have continued to paint images of Ksitigarbha (Jizo)\, the bodhisattva who is said to stay in this world and vow to save every last being. In 2026—for some reason\, I feel compelled to paint only Jizo. This isn't theoretical\; it's an irresistible urge. My search for answers goes on.
