SUMMARY:Soja Lord Akimoto History Festival
DESCRIPTION:This festival honors Lord Akimoto\, a samurai who was granted the Soja domain in 1601 for his achievements at the Battle of Sekigahara and was beloved by locals for contributions such as developing irrigation canals. A parade of armored warriors\, reminiscent of the Warring States period\, marches through the Soja area. At the Soja Community Center\, the festival also features a market with local and regional food\, as well as stage events\, including a large picture-story show inspired by Tengu Iwa irrigation.\n\nhttps://www.maebashi-cvb.com/event/2018
