Composer and pianist Takashi Kako performs his music for NHK's documentary series "The Century in Moving Images" live with the ARK Philharmonic under Ryusuke Numajiri, as historic archival footage plays on a large screen, with narration by Motoyo Yamane. The program traces the 20th century from the birth of film through both world wars and the Cold War, and adds new music and footage from "The Butterfly Effect" series.
