SUMMARY:Best Time to See Autumn Leaves at Kocho-zen Temple
DESCRIPTION:Located in Ayuzawa\, Minami-Alps City\, this Rinzai Zen temple stands on the former site of Saiko-ji\, a large Shingon temple. Kocho-zen Temple was founded in 1316 by the Zen master Muso Kokushi. The temple is famous for its approximately 700-year-old juniper trees\, known as the 'Four Junipers Planted by Muso Kokushi\,' which are designated as a national natural monument.
