Over 300 singers, including members of the general public, will form a large choir to perform 'Ode to Joy' (the fourth movement from Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9). This is one of the largest outdoor performances of Beethoven’s Ninth in Japan, taking place beneath the iconic tower of the Art Tower Mito and filling the city with music. In case of bad weather, the event will be held in the concert hall of Art Tower Mito.
