Tozenji Temple, one of the eighteen distinguished Jodo sect training temples designated by Tokugawa Ieyasu, is renowned for its beautiful seasonal scenery. In spring, visitors can admire a 320-year-old weeping cherry tree, while in autumn, the approach to the temple is lined with vibrant maple leaves. The late-autumn foliage adorning the temple path, main gate, and main hall is particularly striking, with the central Chuchakumon Gate surrounded by rich crimson leaves. In the evenings, the autumn foliage is illuminated, creating an enchanting and ethereal atmosphere distinct from the daytime. Please note that during peak autumn season, private vehicles are not permitted. Check the official website in advance before visiting.
