This scenic spot, selected as one of Saitama's top 100 sights, is home to the enshrined relics of the famous monk Xuanzang from Journey to the West. Spread over 300,000 square meters—about 6.5 times the size of Tokyo Dome—the grounds feature structures built over more than 30 years by the temple's founder, Yataro Hiranuma (pen name Kokei Hiranuma). In autumn, visitors can enjoy stunning views as the maples turn vibrant colors, with the best time to visit between late October and mid-November.
