Located in the eastern part of the Shiobara Hot Spring area—which boasts over 1,000 years of history in northern Tochigi Prefecture—the Forest Station is a popular sightseeing spot. Its highlight, the Momiji Valley Suspension Bridge, is one of the largest cable-supported pedestrian suspension bridges on Honshu at 320 meters long. Visitors can enjoy panoramic 360-degree views while crossing. The fall foliage here is particularly stunning, with crimson and golden leaves reflecting on the lake below. The best viewing period is typically from late October to mid-November.
