This scenic gorge along the middle stretches of the Watarase River in Gunma Prefecture is one of the most popular spots in Midori City, earning the nickname 'the Yabakei Gorge of the Kanto region.' About a five-minute walk from the grounds of the Omama Shinmei Shrine, you’ll find Hanetaki Bridge. From here, a 500-meter riverside walking path runs to Takatsudo Bridge, allowing visitors to enjoy the diverse landscape up close. The walk takes about 15 minutes and features unique formations such as Gorilla Rock and potholes, making for a refreshing experience. The autumn foliage is especially beautiful from early to late November each year.
