SUMMARY:Autumn Leaves at Sairenji Temple
DESCRIPTION:Sairenji Temple\, a Tendai Buddhist temple founded in 782\, is home to two massive ginkgo trees believed to be over 1\,000 years old. With trunks about 8 meters in circumference and reaching heights of 27 meters\, these ancient trees are designated as a natural monument of Ibaraki Prefecture. In late November\, the temple grounds are blanketed in golden ginkgo leaves\, creating a stunning carpet-like effect. Next to the giant ginkgo trees stands the important cultural property\, the pagoda finial\, a symbol of the Tendai sect.\n\nhttps://www.city.namegata.ibaraki.jp/
