Located in Makuhari New City, Chiba Prefecture, Mihama Garden is a traditional Japanese garden where visitors can experience various aspects of Japanese culture. The landscape features representations of mountains, rivers, the sea, and forests, allowing guests to enjoy the beauty of nature as it changes throughout the seasons. In autumn, the garden is filled with vibrant reds and yellows as various trees such as Japanese maple and burning bush—one of the world's three most renowned autumn foliage trees—change color. The garden is especially known for its enchanting reflections of fall colors and snow-covered branches on the pond, as well as particularly striking maple foliage in the inner areas. The leaves generally begin to change in early November, with the peak season lasting from mid-November to early December.
