Popular spots include Sarugakyo Onsen\, the vicinity of Akaya Lake and Aioi Bridge\, as well as along Route 270. There are walking paths and observation decks along the lakeshore\, offering leisurely views of the lake and the Tanigawa mountain range. The area near Mikuni Pass\, reached via the old Mikuni Highway from the Mikuni Tunnel on National Route 17\, is also a famous site for autumn leaves\, with well-maintained nature trails popular among hikers.
