SUMMARY:Autumn Foliage at Lake Chuzenji\, Nikko
DESCRIPTION:Lake Chuzenji\, situated at the entrance to Oku-Nikko at an elevation of 1\,269 meters\, is one of the highlights of Nikko National Park. Formed about 20\,000 years ago when lava from the eruption of Mount Nantai dammed a valley\, this beautiful lake is surrounded by maple\, lacquer\, beech\, oak\, and katsura trees. Their red and yellow leaves are reflected in the water\, creating stunning autumn views. Taking a leisurely walk along the lake shore is recommended\, but enjoying the fall colors from a sightseeing boat on the lake is especially memorable.\n\nhttps://www.nikko-kankou.org/spot/12
