The Ichijo Ekan Mountain Villa, originally established in the early Edo period by Prince Ichijo Ekan and relocated from Kyoto to Kamakura in 1959, is a nationally designated Important Cultural Property. Blending refined elegance and natural beauty, the villa allows visitors to experience the changing seasons. In autumn, the leaves turn vibrant shades of red, yellow, and orange, creating a stunning tapestry of color known as 'a brocade of autumn leaves.'
