Located at the northwestern edge of Tokyo’s 23 wards, Hikarigaoka Park is known for its expansive grounds and abundant natural scenery, making it a popular spot to view autumn leaves. Beyond the Keyaki Plaza, between the tennis courts and bird sanctuary, a 200-meter-long row of ginkgo trees—originally 28 uniform trees transplanted from former U.S. military housing grounds—serves as a symbol of the park. In autumn, their golden leaves form a glowing tunnel, creating a stunning seasonal landscape.
