At Tenguyama, located at an altitude of 1,200 meters, the autumn leaves appear earlier than in many other parts of Japan. From mid-October, maple, mountain ash, and birch trees begin to change color, reaching their peak in early November. The vibrant red foliage set against the green ski slopes creates a stunning scene. In December 2023, the new 'Pulse Gondola Tenguyama' opened, offering visitors a scenic four-minute aerial ride one way.
