The source forest of the Kiryu River has been selected as one of Japan's top 100 forests for forest bathing and one of the top 100 water source forests. Originating from Mount Nemoto, the river flows southward through unspoiled nature, with its banks covered by vibrant red and yellow autumn leaves—creating a truly breathtaking sight. Visitors can enjoy the fresh air and the soothing scent of trees. The best time to view the autumn colors is from early to mid-November, when many photographers visit to capture the vibrant scenery. The foliage near the Umeda Furusato Center and the Ishikamo Tenmangu Shrine is also especially beautiful.
