In 2026, it will be 100 years since the start of the Showa era in 1926. This exhibition showcases Ibaraki’s journey during the Showa period through historical materials held by the museum, highlighting events before and during World War II, the restoration of sovereignty with the San Francisco Peace Treaty, and developments such as the Kashima industrial project and the creation of the Tsukuba Science City.
