This concert features a piano built in 1865 by Steinway & Sons in New York, which was donated to the Ibaraki Prefectural Museum of History by Mito City’s Suigo Elementary School in 1975. Since 1976, it has been on display at the former Suigo Elementary School building on the museum grounds. Pianist Mitsuho Hanawa will perform using this historic instrument. Advance registration is required, with applications accepted via the museum’s website or by postcard. Capacity: 35 people.
