The Akibayama Fire Prevention Festival takes place at Ryokakuin Temple in Itabashi. During the festival, ascetic monks dressed in traditional robes pray for peace and perform ritual dialogues before conducting the 'fire-walking' ceremony, where they walk barefoot over hot embers to pray for good health and safety.
