This prestigious fireworks competition has been held annually since 1925, bringing together pyrotechnicians from across Japan to showcase their skills. The event features three categories: 'Starmine' displays involving rapid sequences of hundreds of fireworks, ten-inch shells judged on color and star pattern arrangement, and a creative category for innovative, non-traditional fireworks presentations.
