SUMMARY:53rd Bando City Masakado Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Masakado Festival\, which began in 1972\, is a signature autumn event in Bando City celebrating local hero Taira no Masakado. Festivities start with a victory prayer at Kokuo Shrine\, followed by lively parades and stage performances. Over 100 people take part in a samurai procession accompanied by the Kanda Bayashi\, a traditional music performance recognized as an intangible cultural asset of the prefecture\, marching through streets closed to traffic.\n\nhttps://bandokanko.jp/?p=6884
